Day Trips
Even though Sunset Beach is a sleepy, family beach town…there is so much to do! You get to stay on a quiet island and only a few miles away are plenty of beach bars and restaurants.
- Ocean Isle and Holden Beaches include the string of islands with Sunset. The Intercoastal Waterway creates many areas to sit and enjoy the sunset.
- Farther up the road are Wilmington and Southport, great beachy, southern towns with rich history. Visit a battleship or a coastal village that has been used as a set for many movies and novels.
- You can also head to Myrtle Beach! North Myrtle is only 15 minutes away and Broadway on the beach only 30 miles away. You can go and be in the middle of it all and come home to a quiet little Sunset!
